Information We Collect

We collect profile information (name, phone, email), location data during active trips, payment information, device details for analytics, and crash reporting data. Camera and storage permissions are requested only for profile photos and identity verification.

How We Use Your Data

Your data enables trip matching, payment processing, fraud prevention, service improvement, and customer support. Location is used only during active navigation or trips. We share data with payment processors, mapping providers, and law enforcement only when legally required.

Data Retention

We retain account data while your account is active. Trip history is kept for 7 years for financial records. You can request data deletion anytime, and we will anonymize or delete it except where retention is required by law or for fraud prevention.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can disable non-essential notifications. Background location tracking can be toggled in app settings. Request account deletion through Settings > Account > Delete Account.

Security

We use encryption for data transmission, secure authentication, and regular security audits. However, no system is 100% secure. Report any security concerns to security@poleapp.com immediately.
